Introducing big scale projects at IWMA 2016

The scene of the IWMA 2016 conference in Vienna was the perfect opportunity for Danfoss Semco to talk about big scale installations. Usually 3,000 nozzles represent a big project for any fire fighting supplier. Danfoss Semco went far and beyond by supplying more than 30,000 nozzles for a 250,000 m² university hospital protected entirely with a SEM-SAFE^® high-pressure water mist system for fire fighting. The hospital is called DNU Skejby Hospital and is one of the first super-hospitals in Denmark and among the biggest in North Europe.

The Fire Fighting Strategy for this hospital had as an ultimate result ensuring MAXIMUM fire safety level. The audience  got to learn that by using SEM-SAFE^®  from Danfoss Semco, all the applications in  the hospital can be protected with only one technology: high-pressure water mist. Besides that,  the SEM-SAFE^® high-pressure water mist system is a solution that saved the hospital millions due to the system’s flexibility, small pipe diameter, great architectural freedom and fast installation.

IWMA 2016 Vienna Highlights

During the 2 days in Vienna, 100 attendees from as far as Australia and United State attended IWMA 2016. The program was packed with many interesting subjects, related to European standards for high-pressure water mist, the progress of EN 14972, latest developments in high-pressure water mist systems and interesting projects.
