During the development stages of the ultra large A380, it became evident for Airbus that a need to transport the large parts of the plane from manufacturing site to manufacturing site would arise. This transport is done by sea – using a RoRo vessel. The RoRo vessel “Ville de Bordeaux” was built at Jinling Shipyard in China in 2004 and is protected with a Danfoss Semco low-pressure CO2 system for engine room total flooding and cargo holds.
