Yachts & Super Yachts are some of the most valuable movable assets in the world. They are characterized by luxury, beauty and elegance. Owners and operators pay special attention to appearance not only in passenger areas but it is often said that the engine rooms too are cleaner than the average dining table. This does bring down fire incidents in engine rooms but nevertheless yachts carry a lot of fuel for the use of tenders, jet skis and in some cases jet fuel for helicopters or sea planes.
The SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist system from Danfoss can accommodate these special demands. We offer special coated nozzle heads that match the interiors of the yacht. The SEM-SAFE® pump unit is available in virtually all colours and combined with the flexibility of small pipe sizes makes it possible to integrate an “invisible” fire protection system that does not disrupt the picture in the luxurious living and accommodation spaces.
Protected areas
The SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist system is designed for instant water release and is easy to operate. All hazard areas are integrated into the same pump unit. For accommodation spaces the system is activated when a bulb nozzle breaks. In the engine room the system activates either automatically by detectors or manually.
