 Supply vessels

Danfoss has grown to become a true market leader within fire suppression systems for offshore and supply vessels. Meeting the ever increasing demand of minimising downtime and optimising service space, the SEM-SAFE® technology is the preferred choice of leading companies within the offshore industry.

The SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist pump unit is versatile and compact in design which makes it particularly suitable for installation in narrow and tight spaces. The modular design enables for tailor made installation even with a standard pump unit. One single system protects all areas onboard. The SEM SAFE® pump unit is designed with a minimum number of components and moving parts that brings down service and maintenance costs.

Protected areas

The SEM-SAFE® system covers total and local protection in the engine room but can easily be extended into covering accommodation and galley as well. One further advantage of the SEM SAFE® system is the possibility of bilge area protection with high-pressure water mist instead of a foam system.

The SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist system is designed for instant release hence rapid fire control. Supply vessels are costly in operation and minimising downtime is paramount. The SEM-SAFE® system is at the forefront when ensuring safety at sea. The main components such as: nozzles, valves and pumps, are made in house which is a major advantage both from the aspect product development and also control of the supply chain. Our 3rd generation nozzle heads which have been developed with special attention to bring down water consumption and spacing, are among the best on the market.

“Island Constructor”, a multi-purpose offshore vessel, fully protected with SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist from Danfoss.
